Module

Each G1 module (first generation) embarks a total of 336 individual magnetic recording heads. These 336 heads are organized in 6 identical groups (sub-modules) of 56 heads each. Finally, every heads in the sub-module are addressable through a 7-select line, 8-data line diode matrix.

The resin-molded module hence contains 336 heads, 336 discrete diodes, printed wired boards for internal connections, external connectors, and 2 gliding members located on both sides of the recording poles line.

The recording bar is made of 10 modules sitting side by side on the drum, thus providing for a full 3360-dot micro-line.
